Adult Ministries at MDUMC
Memorial Drive United Methodist Church has many opportunities for adults to learn and be involved.
Sunday School
There are 19 Sunday School classes for adults at MDUMC. Some classes focus on Bible study, while others examine topical issues or use other studies to grow in their faith. Some classes are based on common ground, such as parents of teenagers or age range. There are classes for mostly couples and some for mostly singles. Many of the classes also do service projects together as well as having social get-togethers. All of the Sunday School classes are eager to welcome visitors. Whatever your interest or need, there's sure to be a class to suit you!
Bible Studies
A variety of learning opportunities are available through Bible and other studies that are intended to help participants grow in the knowledge and love of God. Long-term studies begin in the fall, but short-term studies are offered year-round. There are studies that are just for men or women, and studies for parents. The popular Disciple Bible Studies are offered each year. Some studies which have been held in the past include Companions in Christ, Listening for God, "What's So Amazing about Grace?" by Phillip Yancey, Beginnings: An Introduction to the Christian Faith, Living the Heart of Christianity and a study on discovering your spiritual gifts.
Special Events
Occasionally special events for adult learning are held at Memorial Drive UMC. These events usually offer outside speakers who address a variety of topics. Check the website for news of these special offerings.
