Serving Others at MDUMC
Did you realize that when you call the church a volunteer answers the phone… or when you arrive for worship, it is a volunteer who greets you?
Huge mailings are made possible by volunteers who spend a chatty morning or afternoon stuffing envelopes or sorting mail. Children and youth participate in projects away from the campus because volunteers shepherd them and drive buses to their many destinations. Vacation Bible School happens every summer because of the loving care and service of volunteers.
Volunteers make the mission and ministry of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church possible. We would love for you to become a part of that mission and ministry. Meaningful friendships are often formed when a specific need is being met. There are many opportunities to participate and have a great time while doing it… here at our main campus, at Shepherd Drive Fellowship or Larkin Community Center.
Not sure what would be fulfilling to you? Classes are offered periodically that can help you discover and claim your own spiritual gifts. We all have them! With that knowledge we can help you find just the right place to “plug in.”
