Join us on Sunday, August 10 for a special Back to School celebration during morning worship!

This day will include:

• Blessing of the Backpacks – All students are invited to bring their backpacks to receive a blessing for the school year.

• Blessing for Educators – We’ll offer a special prayer for teachers, administrators, and school staff as they prepare to return to the classroom.

• Promotion Sunday – Children will "move up" to their next Sunday School class based on their grade level.

• Photo Opportunities – Capture the moment with a fun, back-to-school themed photo area.

• Backpack Tags and Stickers – Each student will receive a tag and sticker to remind them they are prayed for all year long!

Memorial Assistance Ministries Back to School Uniform Drive

The MAM Back to School program helps parents shop for new uniforms for their children, because all children deserve to have a great back-to-school experience! Over the years, MDUMC has been a huge supporter of MAM’s uniform drive. Help us continue that tradition by donating here:

Spring Branch ISD School Supply Drive

Donate new, unused school supplies to support students in SBISD. Bring supplies to either campus, or shop our Amazon Wish List to send items directly to the church:

School supply list:

• #2 pencils (pre-sharpened if possible)

• Black or blue pens

• Crayons (24-count)

• Colored pencils

• Washable markers

• Highlighters

• Dry erase markers

• Glue sticks or Bottled glue

• Scissors (blunt-tip and/or regular)

• Pencil sharpeners (with covers)

• Pink erasers

• Pencil boxes or zip pouches

• Spiral notebooks (wide or college ruled)

• Composition notebooks

• 2-pocket folders (with or without prongs)

• 1” or 1.5” 3-ring binders

• Loose-leaf notebook paper (wide or college ruled)

• Index cards (3x5)

Spring Branch ISD Teacher Appreciation

Support our local educators by donating $25 Wal-Mart or Target gift cards. Cards will be distributed to teachers at Spring Branch ISD. Drop them off on Sunday mornings at either campus or anytime at the main campus receptionist desk.

Spring Branch ISD Mentor Partner Program

Make a lasting impact in a student’s life! Mentors in SBISD meet weekly with students in grades 3–12 to offer guidance and encouragement. Just 30–45 minutes a week can make a huge difference. Fill out the interest form to learn more.

Community Prayer Walk

As part of Back to School Sunday, we’re hosting a Community Prayer Walk following worship on August 10 at 12:30 PM.

You’re invited to gather at a local school to pray over students, teachers, administrators, and staff as they begin a new school year. Leaders will guide the experience with a brief opening and closing prayer and provide materials for self-guided prayer as you walk. The full experience will take about 30 minutes.
