This summer, Pastor Seann will host a casual Summer Book Club at MDUMC! Over the course of three months, we’ll read three books together and gather on Sunday afternoons for relaxed conversation and discussion. Come for one book or all three — whatever sounds meaningful (or just interesting) to you. Along the way, Pastor Seann will also send out a few thoughts and notes for those participating.

Led by Allyson George, this group gathers weekly to share and listen for where God might be showing up in the “real” world. It’s a simple, meaningful way to grow in faith and learn to notice God’s presence in new places. Come be part of the conversation!

Join us for a special music-centered Trinity Sunday worship experience in the Sanctuary. On this day, there will be one Classic worship service at 11 AM in the Sanctuary (there will be no 9:30 AM Classic service). Featuring the MDUMC choir and orchestra, the service will include a presentation of Trinity by Marianne Forman in a unique, concert-like morning of worship and reflection.
Please note: worship at The Journey will continue as usual with no changes to contemporary service times!

From offering a friendly smile as a greeter to helping create a smooth, welcoming environment as an usher, or serving during communion, every role plays a meaningful part. When you volunteer, you help create a space where people feel comfortable, cared for, and connected. No matter your role, you’re helping make a lasting impact one Sunday at a time.
Beginning Tuesday, May 26, our volunteer-led Front Desk hours will be 9 AM - 4 PM. Staff will be available outside of Front Desk hours for meetings by appointment and phone calls through our automated phone answering system. Hosted by our youth ministry, this fun-filled event supports the Jennie and Mike Baker Youth Scholarship Fund, helping us award scholarships to deserving high school seniors. You’re invited to journey through Holy Week with Pastor DeAndre in a time of fasting and prayer. From Monday through Saturday, we welcome you to participate in a daily fast from 7 AM to 7 PM. During this time, you may refrain from food while continuing to drink coffee, unsweetened tea, and water.
In addition to fasting, we invite you to pause in the middle of your day and join Pastor DeAndre for a brief 10-minute prayer call on Zoom at noon each day.

Honor or remember a loved one this Easter by purchasing an Easter lily to help beautify our worship spaces as we celebrate the resurrection. You may dedicate your lily in honor of or in memory of someone special. Each lily is $15. Dedication names will be listed in the Easter Sunday bulletin, and after the Last Supper service, you may take your Easter lily home.

Edith Moore Nature Sanctuary
Gather in the Library on Main Campus
Experience Freeform Contemplative Walking, a practice of opening to the Holy Spirit while walking in nature. The class includes a brief introduction, a guided walk through the Edith Moore Nature Center, and a closing reflection in the library.
No experience required, but participants should be comfortable walking on uneven trails. Led by Mark Antley, author of Seeking the Presence of God through Contemplation, Prayer, and Worship. Journals encouraged. All are welcome!
