MDUMC Children's Choirs
MDUMC Children’s Choir
1st through 5th grades
Sundays | 4:00-4:45 | Main Campus - Adult Choir Room
Director: Faith Hebard
The MDUMC Children’s Choir meets from mid-August through mid-April. The choir sings in worship on both campuses once or twice a semester, for special events, and performs a Christmas pageant and spring program. The choir provides opportunities to develop vocal skills and music reading in a fun and engaging environment. Through singing praise and worship songs, children deepen their understanding of faith and experience the joy of sharing their talents with others.
MDUMC Kinder Choir:
Sundays | 3:15-3:45 PM | Main Campus - Adult Choir Room
Director: Faith Hebard
Children engage in fun ways to learn songs and more about music. In Kinder Choir, the emphasis is not just on singing, but also on fostering a sense of community and spiritual growth. Children learn about teamwork, listening skills, and the joy of sharing music with others. This group will join the Children’s choir for several special events.
MDUMC Children’s Bells:
3rd through 5th grades
Sunday's | 4:45 – 5:15 | Main Campus - Bell Room
Director: Wilson Van Tine
The MDUMC Children’s Bells learn basic handbell and choir chime ringing techniques as well as deepen their music reading skills. Bell ringing enhances music literacy and ear training in a fun and encouraging setting. The Children’s Bells play twice a year at the Children’s Choir Christmas pageant and spring program.
We offer many opportunities for everyone to have a place in our Music and Fine Arts Ministry. Through the children's choir, our kids have the chance to sing in worship, perform at special events, and develop their musical talents.
