MOPS - Mothers of Pre-schoolers
2nd and 4th Tuesdays | 9-10:30 AM

We meet at the main campus education building second floor. We will gather for coffee and light snacks, then a devotional, topical speaker (sometimes a video presentation), discuss and then close with prayers or concerns. Our topics are almost exclusive issues that surround 'mommying.' Once a month, we will have a simple activity/project to complete (service project or craft) but we will still have discussion on those days. Our goal is to create a community of Christian moms just doing their best to raise little humans and help each other! The cost is $40 which included MOPS international membership. If you need child care we are asking for an extra $20 for the year to defray our childcare cost.

Tuesdays from 9:15-10:30 AM

All moms, specifically those with 1st – 6th graders, are invited to join MDUMC Moms for weekly fellowship and Bible Study. Fellowship begins at 9:15 in room C201 followed by study from 9:30 – 10:30 AM.

This semester we will be working on the study, “Miracles of Jesus: A Study of What Jesus Makes Possible.” In Miracles of Jesus: A Study of What Jesus Makes Possible you will spend time exploring all four gospels of the Bible and discovering the ways Jesus healed, provided, calmed, and resurrected. This study is about believing in the power of God who can accomplish anything. There's nothing too big and there's nothing too small for us to bring to him. Nursery is available from 9-11 AM and is $20 for the semester. Please contact Stacy Stepler with any questions.

Liturgy of the Ordinary - A Study for All Women

Wednesdays (September 4-November 13) | 6:30-7:30 PM | C201

This Fall, Ginny Tincher will be leading us in a study of the book Liturgy of the Ordinary by Tish Harrison Warren. The chapters are short, and every week will focus on a daily habit or practice (e.g., waking up, brushing your teeth, sitting in traffic) and how God can be revealed to us through it. Nursery care through elementary-age care available.

Lighten Up - A Bible Study for Busy Moms

Tuesdays (September 17-November 5) | 12-1:30 PM

Whether you're new to Bible study or a seasoned veteran, Lighten Up invites you to be a part of our weekly community of women of all ages. Each Tuesday starts with a delicious lunch followed by a short video and great small group time. We will pass out the study guides on September 17 and dive into Chapter 1 the following week. The cost of the study is $60 which includes the book and lunch each week. We will be doing a study called “Unexpected” by Christine Caine. She will help us focus on trusting God in the unpredictable circumstances of life by anticipating, welcoming and even embracing the unexpected. Please contact Karen Crawford with any questions.
